Meet The Owners
Mary Lane Cafe was born out of Mary's upbringing of watching her mother and aunts create traditional Mexican dishes. As a foreign exchange student, Mary spent countless hours sampling exotic treats, learning from well-renowned chefs, and creating her own hand-written recipes.
During her time at the University of Arizona, Mary and her husband, Andrew, opened a well-recognized Mary's Tacos. Crowds would eagerly form as they awaited the culinary masterpieces of Mary and Andrew.
14 years later, Mary returned to her hometown with her three kids. While cruising through the streets of San Gabriel one afternoon, Mary spotted an abandoned Drive-Thru Dairy. She spent three years perfecting her authentic recipes, recruiting the right team to provide the best service, and reinventing the deserted building into one of vibrant liveliness and vintage aesthetic. Mary's unwavering drive to fulfill her long-cherished passion is what makes this cafe a timeless establishment. Each dish is crafted with warmth and in loving honor of Andrew.
